Dr Lianne Beadsmoore is a Chartered and Registered Principal Forensic Psychologist and EMDR Therapist with extensive experience spanning secure settings, community services, public health, private practice, and non-profit sectors. Throughout her career, she has worked therapeutically with people experiencing a wide range of challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, and complex emotional regulation issues. Her practice emphasises a supportive, person-centred approach that empowers clients to explore underlying patterns, build resilience, and develop meaningful coping skills.
In her work, Dr Beadsmoore draws on a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), EMDR, cognitive behavioural techniques, and Person-Centred approaches, tailoring each treatment to the unique needs of her clients. Her practice is grounded in respect, empathy, and a deep commitment to helping people build resilience, self-compassion, and emotional wellbeing.
Prior to her current practice, Lianne served for many years as a Psychologist within the NHS, where she led psychological care and risk management work in complex multidisciplinary settings. This experience has deeply informed her holistic understanding of psychological needs and her commitment to collaborative, strengths-based care.
Dr Beadsmoore believes that effective therapy is more than just coping strategies: it’s about helping people understand their patterns, make sense of their experiences, and create a life worth living that feels balanced and authentic. She works alongside her clients to collaboratively identify goals and develop personalised plans that foster insight, confidence, and lasting outcomes. Whether working with clients managing stress and self-criticism or supporting those facing complex trauma and interpersonal difficulties, Dr Beadsmoore aims to provide a compassionate, safe space where people can explore challenges and move forward with purpose.
❝My aim is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where people feel safe to explore what’s holding them back and build the resilience, self-understanding and confidence they need to live more meaningfully. It’s about more than coping: it’s about growing, discovering strengths and achieving lasting, positive outcomes.❞ - Dr Lianne Beadsmoore
