About

Dr Victoria Taylor is a highly experienced Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical practice in NHS community, secure forensic, specialist inpatient rehabilitation, and private therapy settings. She is an accredited therapist and supervisor with the Society for Dialectical Behaviour Therapy UK and holds Associate Fellow, Chartered Clinical Psychologist, and Chartered Scientist status with the British Psychological Society. Dr Taylor has held a range of leadership positions within the organisation and currently serves as Clinical Lead for the Private Therapy Clinic at St Andrew’s Healthcare, Northampton.

Passionate about supporting people to improve their mental wellbeing, Dr Taylor is dedicated to helping individuals build lives that feel meaningful, fulfilling, and worth living. She strongly believes that even in the most difficult times, there is always hope for change, growth, and renewed purpose. Her aim is to help people reconnect with what matters to them, regain a sense of direction, and take positive steps towards a life they value.

Her professional experience spans working with people facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, with particular expertise in supporting those who experience intense, dysregulated emotions and impulsive behaviours. Dr Taylor helps individuals develop effective strategies to better understand and manage these difficulties, build sustainable habits, and align their actions with personal values and goals. Her approach is practical, evidence-based, and tailored to meet each person’s unique needs. At the heart of her work is a commitment to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space where people feel heard, validated, and empowered.

I believe one of our main duties as professionals working with people who are struggling with some of life’s most challenging moments is to be a custodian of hope. I take seriously the responsibility of supporting each person to build resilience, overcome the challenges, find meaning and connection, and ultimately helping them to rediscover what makes life worth living—so that, at the end of their recovery, I can hand that hope back, allowing them to carry it forward themselves.❞ - Dr Victoria Taylor
